Bart Levy Art Gallery

Welcome! Thanks for visiting my gallery.

It seems a contradiction – energy and serenity – but while nature is undoubtedly beautiful and looks peaceful, the marshes along the coast of Virginia and North Carolina teem with life. The ancient hills full of life on them and in them. Currents in the water, the breeze in the trees, the clouds overhead – all are manifestations of energy. However, it’s the kind of energy that leaves us recharged, not exhausted, and it’s that energy I work to capture in my paintings.

Looking for an older favorite? Feeling a little budget conscious? Get in touch– we can work it out.

I love to paint and I hope it shows. Be sure to check out the blog and follow me on Facebook and Instagram to see work in progress, occasional musings and sometimes some conversation.

Still Life

A good still life can be an appreciation of the grace notes in life. Flowers, of course, the small jewels of fruit and veggies. Sometimes it’s that something that just deserves a second look.
